Interview with King David about music

I like to walk in the city called "Book of Psalms",

Which is  located in the "Kingdom of the Word of God."

In this wonderful city there are 150 wonderful houses,

That  are built of precious stones,

The precious words of our beloved Lord.

The architect of the city is the King of Kings,

Among its builders are Asaph, the sons of Korah, Moses and King David.

While walking, I met David,

I talked to him about music.

Hripsime:  Hello, Brother David,

Happy to meet you,

I am delighted  to be in this city!

Praise songs are heard continually here,

The  worship of our wonderful God is so sincere,

I really liked the house number  119,

I walked around  the 176 floors with delight,

I was amazed  by the beauty of God's Word and His light.

David: I'm glad you are here,  my sister

I think you love our King with all your heart,

You always want to praise Him.

Hripsime:  Yes, I love to sing,

I love to praise Him.

I would like to ask you for a piece of advice;

What should I do to sing better?

David: I think you have seen the  house number 108.

Hripsime:  Yes, I have been in all the  houses many times.

David: What do you see on the first floor?

Hripsime:  " O God, my heart is ready, my heart is ready;

I will sing and sing psalms with my glory. "

David: The answer is in those words.

For your song to be pleasing to the Lord

First of all, your heart must be ready.

Hripsime: Yes, I understand,  that is necessary.

Isn't it important  to have a beautiful voice too?

And a good ear, music  education?

David: It's good to have a beautiful voice,

But it is never enough,

Unless you glorify the Lord with your voice.

Surely, a good ear for music  is  necessary too.

But it is useless if you don’t hear the voice of the Lord.

I did not have a music education,

But I have been singing  since childhood, you know that well.

I attended the school of praise of our Lord,

I have learned to glorify and  to worship Him.

God will receive the praise of your heart,

Even if your sing with a false note,

But He will refuse if you sing with a false heart.

Hripsime: On the next floor of house number 108

I have seen  these words:

" Awake, psaltery and harp:

myself will awake early."

Is it so important to wake up early?

David:  To be a true worshipper,

You must cry to  Him early in the morning (Psalm 119: 147),

Meditate of His Words at the sunrise.

Hripsime:  What should be the subject  of my songs?

David: Have you seen the 54th floor of house number 119?

Hripsime:  Yes. " Your songs are the theme of my songs."

David: The Word of God should  always be

The theme of any  spiritual song,

The song should only glorify the Lord,

 For it is good to sing praises unto our God;

For it is pleasant; and praise is comely. ”(Psalm 147: 1).

Hripsime: Do you know that you are the author of the lyrics to many songs we sing?

David: Yes, I know.

Will you sing  such a song right now?

Hripsime: I will gladly sing!

As the deer panteth for the water
So my soul longeth after thee
You alone are my hearts desire
And I long to worship thee

You alone are my strength, my shield
To You alone may my spirit yield
You alone are my hearts desire
And I long to worship thee

You're my friend and You are my brother,
Even though you are a king.
I love you more than any other,
So much more than anything.

I want You more than gold or silver,
Only You can satisfy.
You alone are the real joy Giver,
And the apple of my eye.

David: It is a wonderful song.

Both the melody and the lyrics glorify the Lord.

Hripsime: Thanks for the nice conversation

And for all the tips you gave me.

What would you like to say to the Christians of our time?

David:Rejoice in the LORD, O ye righteous:

For praise is comely for the upright.”(Psalm 33: 1).
