7. The Comfort from Answered Prayers

"Until now you have asked nothing in My name. Ask, and you will receive, that your joy may be full." - John 16:24

If I've had answered prayers in the past, I should not worry. My Lord is the same yesterday, today, and forever. If He answered my prayers yesterday, He will answer them today too. Anxieties arise within me, but comforts come from heaven. Even if my anxieties are many, I will not despair: His comforts are greater in number.

Answered prayers become a source of comfort in times of difficulty. They remind us that God is always with us, ready to come to our aid when we call upon Him.

 "In the multitude of my anxieties within me, Your comforts delight my soul." - Psalm 94:19

6. The Comfort from His Word and Promises

Unless thy law had been my delights, I should then have perished in mine affliction. Psalm 119:92

This is my comfort in my affliction: for thy word hath quickened me. Psalm 119:50

Anxieties can come from different directions, but every word of God brings comfort in various situations.

My unfulfilled desires will not concern me if I remember that God will grant the desires of my heart if I delight in Him. I will not worry about my works if I remember that He has promised to complete His good work that He started in me. If my lack of faith worries me, I will remember that hearing God's Word produces faith. If I am weary, let me remember that He has promised rest to all who are weary and burdened and who come to Him. If my sins bring me anxieties, I will remember that He has promised to forgive them and never remember them. When all kinds of anxieties come, God's Word gives me all kinds of comfort.

The greatest comfort comes from the promise of Jesus' return. "For the Lord Himself will descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trumpet of God, and the dead in Christ will rise first. Then we who are alive, who remain, will be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air, and so we will always be with the Lord." (1 Thessalonians 4:16-17).

God’s Comforts in My Anxieties:The Comfort of God’s Unlimited Power

 

"In the multitude of my anxieties within me, Your comforts delight my soul." - Psalm 94:19

5. The Comfort of God’s Unlimited Power
"Great is our Lord, and mighty in power; His understanding is infinite." - Psalm 147:5

God is almighty. If my weaknesses make me anxious, let me not forget that my Lord is almighty, and nothing is too difficult for Him.

His boundless power means that He is in control of all things. This knowledge grants me comfort and assurance that even in the most difficult situations, His strength will prevail.

His mighty power helps me conquer fear and anxiety. I find solace in knowing that He can handle any situation.

His great power comforts me in the multitude of my anxieties.

4. The Comfort of God’s Unsearchable Wisdom

"Oh, the depth of the riches both of the wisdom and knowledge of God! How unsearchable are His judgments and His ways past finding out!" - Romans 11:33

When my lack of wisdom makes me anxious, remembering God’s unfathomable wisdom brings me comfort. If I know that my Lord never makes mistakes, arranges all things to work together for the good of those who love Him, and uses every small thing to fulfill His wise plans, why should I worry about the future? Understanding that God's wisdom is at work in every circumstance delivers me from the burden of anxiety.

His wisdom comforts me in the multitude of my anxieties.

God’s Comforts in My Anxieties: The Comfort of God’s protection

 

"In the multitude of my anxieties within me, Your comforts delight my soul." - Psalm 94:19

3. The Comfort of God’s protection

"The beloved of the LORD shall dwell in safety by Him, Who shelters him all the day long; And he shall dwell between His shoulders." - Deuteronomy 33:12

"He who dwells in the secret place of the Most High shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty." - Psalm 91:1

What a safe place, a wonderful hiding place for God's children, His beloved ones. God protects them all the day long. There is no safer place than His presence.

We are safe in our shelter. He protects us from all kinds of danger, sin, fear, and enemy’s attacks.

His presence is a safe hiding place for His loved ones. So anxieties have no place in my life because I have a place in my safest hiding place, the presence of God.

God’s Comforts in My Anxieties: The Comfort of His Constant Presence.

 

 "In the multitude of my anxieties within me, Your comforts delight my soul." - Psalm 94:19

2. The Comfort of His Constant Presence.

"I am with you always, even to the end of the age." - Matthew 28:20

If Jesus is with me every day, then loneliness cannot bring me anxiety. I am not alone. Because He is with me every day, every day I am safe and peaceful; every day, I am happy; every day, I have victories; every day, I gain new strength to run the race of faith.

His constant presence means I never have to navigate the uncertainties of life on my own. He guides me through the twists and turns, providing clarity even in the midst of confusion.

When faced with challenges that seem insurmountable, His presence grants me the courage to persevere. I can move forward with confidence, knowing that He walks beside me.

The knowledge that His presence endures to the end of the age fills me with hope for the future. No matter what lies ahead, I can face it with faith, for He is with me.

God’s Comforts in My Anxieties: The comfort of His everlasting love.

 

"In the multitude of my anxieties within me, Your comforts delight my soul." - Psalm 94:19

My anxieties may increase or decrease, but the comforts given by my Lord are always present. However numerous my anxieties are, His comforts are even greater.

When my anxietis roar within me, the Lord's comforts silence them.

What comforts have I received in the multitude of my anxieties?

1. The comfort of His everlasting love.

"Yes, I have loved you with an everlasting love; Therefore, with lovingkindness, I have drawn you." - Jeremiah 31:3

If the Lord loves me not with a temporary but with an everlasting love, why should I be anxious? If He loves me, then He desires the best for me. Because He loves me with an everlasting love, He has granted me everlasting life, forgiven my sins, and bestowed countless blessings. Because He loves me with an everlasting love, I need not concern myself with who doesn't. Because He loves me with an everlasting love, I will not fear the rejection or judgment of others.
