Cold water to thirsty

 

As cold waters to a thirsty soul, so is good news from a far country.Proverbs 25:25

Here is an important reminder of the impact a good testimony, a good news, an encouraging word can have. As cold water is refreshing to a thirsty person, so is good news to someone in a far country.

Therefore, let me not delay to send encouraging, edifying words, good testimony, good news, Bible verses  to those who are far away. Especially since that possibility exists in our time.

Jacob's spirit revived when he heard good news from a far country;  his son was alive (Genesis 45:27).

Lonely people need words of encouragement, even if they don't live in faraway countries. I want to be someone who gives cold water to the thirsty.
