The Heart of Spiritual Maturity

"And they went out of the prison and entered into the house of Lydia; and when they had seen the brethren, they comforted them and departed. (Acts 16:40)

Paul and Silas suffered great tribulations, were beaten, and received wounds. However, after leaving prison, they did not seek comfort but comforted others themselves. They went to Lydia's house and comforted the brethren.
This is one of the signs of spiritual maturity. Spiritual babies expect to receive encouragement, comfort, and care. Spiritually mature people want to give all of this.
Spiritual babies, upon hearing a sermon about love, complain that there is no love in the church. In contrast, spiritually mature people will worry if there is lack of love in themselves.
