Blessed gathering where everyone is waiting for Jesus

 And it came to pass, that, when Jesus was returned, the people gladly received him: for they were all waiting for him. Luke 8:40

The people gladly received Jesus because they were all waiting for Him.

As I read today, I thought how wonderful it would be to have a meeting where everyone is waiting for Him.

When all are waiting for Jesus, all are on time, all come in the spirit of prayer, all are in reverent worship, all have the desire to listen to His Word, the willingness to obey His Word, all want to learn His ways, know His will, all seek His presence, everyone wants to be corrected by His Word, everyone wants to see the wonders of His Word.

How blessed is the gathering where the noise of the world is silenced and the song of praise is heard, where cell phones are turned off and the fire of prayer is turned on, where worldly cares are absent and the Lord who cares for us is present.

It is the gathering where everyone is waiting for Jesus.
