Learning about God in Psalm 119: God is our Guide

 "Direct my steps by Your word, And let no iniquity have dominion over me." - Psalm 119:133

"Make me to go in the path of Thy commandments; for therein do I delight." - Psalm 119:35

The psalmist acknowledges that he cannot walk the right path on his own, the path of God's commandments. So, he turns to the true Guide, who is the Lord.

We have the same Guide. He is a reliable Guide who will not let us go astray or deviate from the path; He will direct our every step. He leads us not from time to time, but all the time.

In our journey along the path of God's commandments, we can have full confidence in His guidance. His Word illuminates our way, making the path clear. Even when challenges and temptations arise, His guidance remains unwavering.

As we delight in following His commandments, we find that His guidance not only leads us in the right direction but also guards us from iniquity. With God as our Guide, we can trust that His holy and loving hand will always direct us towards the path of righteousness and away from the dominion of sin.
