The sin of prayerlessness: wrong priorities

 

But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you. Matthew 6:33

Set your mind on things above, not on things on the earth.Colossians 3:2

The prayerlessness shows that the Christian does not seek first the kingdom of God and does not think about things above.

If he sought first the kingdom of God, prayer would be his first priority. If prayer is not a priority,it means his daily life is filled with many unimportant, meaningless, useless activities.

If he thought about the above things, he would have many subjects of prayer, he would have many things to ask for: he would pray to receive God's promises, he would pray to be able to obey God's commandments, he would pray to make progress in sanctification, he would pray to receive stremgth to serve God.
