’’… write them upon the table of thine heart.’’ (Proverbs 7:3)
In this chapter, Solomon teaches his son to beware of falling into the trap of an unfaithful, strange woman. But the first four verses are not just about young men. Temptations threaten everyone. Therefore, we all need to write God's Word in our hearts.
The Word written in my notebook will not help me in temptation if it is not written in my heart, if I don’t meditate on the Word.
The Word of God kept in the heart keeps the heart from sin.
